    Work with code and files

    5 min readReviewed 9 September 2026

Browse generated files, make careful manual edits, and understand plan gates.

    The code workspace

The file explorer shows the generated project tree and opens files in the browser editor. Eligible plans can view complete source, copy it, edit a file manually, save it, and recompile the preview.

    • Save one logically complete change at a time.
    • Preserve package and entry-point files unless you understand the runtime contract.
    • After a manual edit, refresh and test the preview.
    • Use a checkpoint before a risky refactor.

    Source ownership and export

Hobby and higher individual plans include full source viewing, copy, and ZIP export. Exports contain the current stored files; eligible business plans can also include deployment-kit assets.

    Generated dependencies

A preview can load supported packages from the configured CDN runtime. Exported or externally hosted projects still need their package configuration and provider credentials to be valid in the target environment.
